Stampede VIP Shindig - Tuesday, July 13, 2010Despite the rainy, cold weather that welcomed the Stampede on July 13, nearly 200 people mosied on down to the Stampede VIP Shindig at the Calgary Stampede's Frontier Pavillion. Live music, a traditional cowboy barbeque and a ton of fun welcomed the guests who braved the elements to come out for the event. Unfortunately, due to the extreme weather conditions that day, the Calgary Stampede was forced to cancel the Rangeland Derby Chuckwagon Races and Grandstand show for the first time in history. No one seemed to mind, however, as there was plenty to do under the shelter of the tent until late into the evening. Photos by Amy Baxter (Click on photos to view larger images) |
